Getting started is simple!

Who can take part?

Everyone is welcome on the walk, no matter your age or ability. Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. Please note we have limited volunteer support for these walks so if you have a support worker/ carer for your everyday needs they will need to attend the walk.

Concerned about joining for the first time?

Try one of our lower grade walks which last up to 30 minutes and are on flat ground or gentle slopes with mainly firm surfaces.

Do I need to book?

Getting started is simple. Just choose the walk you would like to attend, then book your place by either contacting the walk leader direct or booking your walk online. If it is your first walk you will need to complete a Walker Registration Form online or you can call 07812 974832 and we’ll send one out to you in the post.

New walker? You need to read this…

  • You’ll need to complete a Walker Registration Form before you can take part in your first health walk. You can complete this online or by calling 07812 974832
  • You should ONLY attend a walk if you have booked your place online or direct with the walk leader. This is due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Please be at the start point of your chosen walk at least 5 minutes before the advertised start time or 10 minutes before if it’s your first walk with us
  • Dress according to the weather and wear shoes with a good grip – some paths may be muddy during or after bad weather
  • We recommend bringing a drink of water with you
  • If you haven’t exercised for some time, or have a medical condition which may affect your fitness to walk, please consult your GP or health professional before joining us on one of our walks
  • Dogs are allowed on some of our walks but please check our list of walks to make sure – if you can bring dogs along, you’ll need to keep them under ‘close control’ at all times
  • All walks are non-smoking
